1. About Patrimona

Patrimona is a financial education provider based at 30 Jalan Gaya, 88000 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. We offer structured educational programs on financial topics. Patrimona is not a licensed financial adviser, investment firm, or insurance intermediary.

2. Website Use

The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes. While we take care to keep content accurate, we do not warrant that all information is current, complete, or error-free at all times. You use the website at your own discretion.

You agree not to use the website for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or to transmit any material that is harmful, offensive, or in breach of any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to restrict access, modify content, or discontinue any part of the website at any time without prior notice.

3. Program Enrolment

Enrolment in a Patrimona program is confirmed only upon our written acknowledgement of your registration and receipt of the applicable fee (or deposit where specified). Submission of an enquiry or expression of interest does not constitute a confirmed enrolment.

Programs have limited cohort sizes. Where a cohort is full, we will advise you of the next available date or waitlist arrangement.

Some programs indicate a recommended prior knowledge level. We may contact you before confirming enrolment to discuss suitability. We reserve the right to advise a different program if we believe a different starting point would better serve your needs.

4. Fees and Payment

Program fees are as listed on our website at the time of enrolment. Fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

  • Full payment is required to confirm enrolment unless a deposit arrangement has been agreed in writing
  • We accept payment via the methods specified during the enrolment process
  • Where HRD Corp (HRDF) claims apply, it is the employer's responsibility to submit claims in accordance with HRD Corp requirements; Patrimona will provide supporting documentation upon request
  • Fees do not include travel or accommodation costs, which are the participant's own responsibility

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation by participant:

  • Cancellation received more than 14 days before the first session: full refund of fees paid
  • Cancellation received between 7 and 14 days before the first session: 50% refund of fees paid
  • Cancellation received fewer than 7 days before the first session: no refund, but a transfer to the next available cohort may be arranged at our discretion
  • Non-attendance without notice: no refund

Cancellation by Patrimona: In the event we need to cancel or postpone a cohort (e.g. due to insufficient enrolment or unforeseen circumstances), we will notify you as soon as practicable and offer a full refund or transfer to the next available cohort at your choice.

To request a cancellation, please contact us at [email protected] with your name, program, and the reason for cancellation.

6. Participant Conduct

All participants are expected to engage respectfully with facilitators and fellow cohort members. Patrimona maintains a learning environment that is considerate and inclusive.

We reserve the right to remove a participant from a cohort without refund if their conduct is disruptive, offensive, or incompatible with a respectful learning environment. This determination rests solely with Patrimona.

Participants are expected to treat cohort conversations with discretion. Information shared by other participants in a session should not be disclosed outside of that session without their explicit consent.

7. Intellectual Property

All program materials — including session slides, worksheets, templates, glossaries, and written content — are the intellectual property of Patrimona unless otherwise indicated.

  • Materials are provided for the personal use of the enrolled participant only
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, republish, sell, or create derivative works from program materials without our prior written consent
  • Recording of sessions (audio, video, or screen capture) is not permitted without explicit written permission from Patrimona

All website content, including text, images, and structural design, is the property of Patrimona and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8. Educational Disclaimer

Patrimona's programs are educational in nature. The content of our programs — including discussions of financial instruments, investment concepts, insurance, and related topics — does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, insurance advice, or any other form of professional advisory service.

Participants should not make financial decisions based solely on program content. We strongly encourage participants to consult a licensed financial adviser, accountant, or other qualified professional for advice specific to their personal circumstances.

Patrimona is not responsible for any financial decisions made by participants following program attendance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Patrimona's liability to any participant arising from or in connection with their participation in a program or use of this website is limited to the fees paid by that participant for the relevant program.

Patrimona is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special losses, including loss of income, investment losses, or losses arising from reliance on program content.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law under Malaysian legislation.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

11. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of your enrolment governs your participation in that specific program. We will update the date shown at the top of this page when changes are made.

For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify enrolled participants. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
